How It Works
This calculator uses MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) values to estimate calories burned. MET values vary based on running speed:
- 8 km/h (5 mph): MET 8.3 (jogging)
- 10 km/h (6.2 mph): MET 9.8
- 12 km/h (7.5 mph): MET 11.0
- 14 km/h (8.7 mph): MET 11.8
- 16+ km/h (10+ mph): MET 12.8-14.5
